Five-figure donation gives project a boost

We are very excited to announce another generous donation to support the development of our exhibition project! Former Timaru mayor, long-serving district councillor , president of the South Canterbury Historical Society and regional heritage advocate Ray Bennett has made a personal donation of $10,000!

Ray has had a lifelong association with the South Canterbury Museum which has not abated over many decades. He sees the value in how we intend to present our region’s heritage and fully supports this new development.

Thanks so much Ray for your generosity and far-sighted support that will make our heritage so much more accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages!
