Rosemary Carruthers

Rosemary Carruthers has been in general legal practice based in South Canterbury for over 30 years. She is a graduate of Otago University and attended St Hilda’s Collegiate School in Dunedin as a boarder. Her family background is in farming in Otago.

She enjoys involvement in this community having held governance roles in tertiary education and regional health as well as in philanthropy.

Current voluntary roles are with SC Museum Development Trust, CCS Disability Action, and Aoraki Community Education Trust. She advises a number of local charitable organisations.

Other current roles are as District Inspector of Mental Health and as a trustee of Ngai Tahu Ancillary Claims.
